Stuffy Singer

STUFFY SINGER, was one of the original ‘Beverly Hills Beavers’ on Jack Benny’s radio program, and he appeared often in juvenile roles on shows like The Great Gildersleeve, Suspense, The Lux Radio Theatre, Fibber McGee and Molly, Our Miss Brooks, and Amos ‘n’ Andy to name a few. Among his television credits are the 1948/49 show Sandy Dreams at KTLA and Singer notes that this was the, “first scripted TV show in history.” Singer also states that the show had three stars, “Sandy, Candy, and Stuffy. Others on the show, Richard Beymer(Westside Story), Jill St. John(Oppenheimer), Lee Aaker (Rin Tin Tin).” In 1950, Singer did Fantastic Studios Inc. at KTLA, then in 1951and 52 he played ‘Donnie’ on Beulah staring Hattie McDaniel and Louise Beavers, respectively. Additionally, Singer notes that in 1957 he performed on, “Dagwood and Blondie staring Arthur Lake, I played Dagwood’s son Alexander.” Singer’s TV credits include Lassie, Leave It to Beaver, My Three Sons, The Patty Duke Show, The Bill Cosby Show, Life of Riley, Lassie, Fury, Thriller, Burns N Allen and more.  Singer is also a champion at tennis, table tennis, and handball. In 1994 he was inducted into the U. S. Handball Association Hall of Fame.
